Welcome to Rocky Boy Health Board
Dental Walk-In Policy
An appointment to be seen in the dental clinic can be made in person by contacting the staff at the Dental Receptionist desk in the clinic waiting room or by phone by calling 406.395.4486 ext. 2021.
The hours for scheduled dental appointments are as follows:
M W TH F 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Tuesday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
The typical initial appointment to be seen by the dentists is given for an examination. This is the first step in creating a treatment plan from which additional appointments are given to meet your dental needs.
If you are interested in making an initial appointment for the dental hygienist please contact the dental reception staff for additional information. Availability for the hygienist varies based on the number of patients that have been scheduled during that particular appointment block of time.
Appointments are given on a first come first serve basis based on availability of dental care providers. Appointments do fill up fast so the sooner you contact the dental reception staff for an appointment the more likely you will be seen in a prompt manner.
At the completion of your appointment the dental care provider will discuss what you need for any follow-up appointments and time required. It is recommended that you check with the dental reception staff on your way out to schedule an additional appointment if needed.

Our team has been visiting schools in Rocky Boy and Box Elder including both Head Start Programs. The services provided are oral hygiene instructions, dental screening, fluoride treatment, and sealants. If we feel your child is in need of dental work, a note is sent home. This month, we are planning classroom visits for grades K-6 and presentations for grades 7-12 to educate students on dental health and how to prevent cavities and gum disease.
Dental walk-in clinic hours run from 8:00 am - 10:00 am on M, W, TH, F. After that posted times priority is given to previously scheduled patients.
The dental walk-in clinic patient priority is based on time of arrival, severity of condition, and/or procedure required for treatment.
If the dental walk-in clinic is filled for the morning, you will not be turned away if you have a true emergency. You will be screened by a dental staff member. Truly urgent cases will be asked to stand by in the waiting room until a chair becomes available.
Non-urgent cases will be given the choice of returning at 1:00 pm to wait until a slot becomes available or returning at a subsequent walk-in clinic.
IF IT IS AFTER WORK HOURS AND YOU HAVE A DENTAL EMERGENCY PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT AT A HOSPITAL OR CALL 911.
